The PIAFEIRA Touring Cap started with a specific problem: how to secure a cap while driving an open-top classic car. The solution is a distinctive piece of headwear inspired by the world of classic motoring, combining traditional cap-making with a purpose-built chinstrap system drawn from early racing helmets.

The PIAFEIRA Touring Cap is the first cap designed specifically for open-top driving at speed, with a detachable chinstrap with two positions: chinstrap down when driving, up when resting.

After months of research, prototyping, testing and building an archive, PIAFEIRA transformed an idea into a product made by hand, with a purpose: improving the experience of driving an open-top classic car at speed. The PIAFEIRA Touring Cap marks the beginning of PIAFEIRA’s first limited collection, developed in collaboration with Laird Hatters London and other British hatmakers.
